iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini Purple colour variant and AirTag are now on sale in India and other markets through Apple online and Authorised Reseller stores. These products were originally launched at the Spring Loaded event last week. The Cupertino giant is also taking pre-orders for iPad Pro (2021), iMac (2021) and the new Apple TV 4K today. They will be available for purchase sometime in the second half of May as the exact availability timeline hasn’t been revealed. Besides the new colour, the iPhone 12 and 12 mini retain similar specifications as the original models. They come with 5.4 and 6.1-inch displays, respectively, A14 Bionic and dual 12MP cameras.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini Purple colour variants are priced similar to the other colour options. This means the iPhone 12 64GB is priced at Rs 79,900, the 128GB model costs Rs 84,900 and Rs 94,900 for the high-end 256GB option. The iPhone 12 mini has a price tag of Rs 69,900 for the 64GB, Rs 74,900 for the 128GB and Rs 84,900, respectively.
The AirTag is priced at Rs. 3,190 for a single unit while the pack of four costs Rs 10,900. The Bluetooth tracker will be available through the Apple online store along with a free engraving option and Apple Authorised Reseller stores and other offline retailers.

The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 sport a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR displays with 2532×1170 pixels resolution, HDR support and a wide notch to house the selfie camera and Face ID tech. Apple says the iPhone 12 and 12 mini come with Ceramic Shield to offer extra durability. They are powered by the latest A14 Bionic chipset paired with up to 256GB storage. The iPhones boot iOS 14 out of the box and have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Both the iPhone 12 and 12 mini pack dual rear cameras, comprising of dual 12MP sensors with OIS, 120-degree FoV, f/1.8 aperture, and 2x optical zoom. There is a 12MP snapper with an f/2.2 True Depth sensor on the front for selfies and video chats.
Apple AirTag specifications
Apple AirTag ships with the in-house U1 chip that uses ultra-wideband technology to enable ‘Precision Finding’ for iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 users. When a user moves, the Precision Finding is said to fuse input from the camera, ARKit, accelerometer, and gyroscope, and then will guide them to AirTag using a combination of sound, haptics and visual feedback. If a user is separated from the AirTag or out of Bluetooth range, the Find My network can help track it down. AirTag is water-resistant and supports NFC, Bluetooth LE, an accelerometer and Siri support. The company says that AirTag doesn’t store data and communication with the Find My network is end-to-end encrypted.
