The POCO M3 India launch is all set for February 2nd, the same day as the Samsung Galaxy M02 and just two days before the Realme X7 and X7 Pro unveiling. Unlike the mid-range Realme-branded smartphones, the POCO M3 is a reasonably-priced device suitable for those on a tight budget. POCO had launched the handset globally in November 2020, and it took the company nearly three months to finalise the POCO M3 India launch plans bright. The POCO M3 India launch date is February 2nd, as mentioned above. The launch event is scheduled to start at 12pm via a live-stream that will be broadcast on YouTube, the official POCO website, and Flipkart. However, the live-stream link is not live yet.
POCO M3 price in India (expected)
The entry-level POCO M3 price in India for the variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is expected to be around Rs 11,000. There appears to be a version with 6GB of RAM too, and we can expect it to be priced roughly Rs 12,000-13,000. The smartphone’s launch should be accompanied by some offers for certain credit/ debit cardholders. Therefore, it could be possible to buy the phone for less than Rs 10,000.
POCO M3 specifications
Considering that the phone has already been out and about for over two months, the POCO M3 specifications are fairly well-known. For starters, you get a 6.53-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,340) IPS LCD panel with a peak brightness of 400 nits. It is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen is interrupted by a waterdrop-style notch that houses the smartphone’s 8MP selfie camera that can record videos at 1080p 30 FPS.
Under the hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset which features four Kryo 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.0GHz, four Kryo Silver cores at 1.8GHz, and an Adreno 610 GPU. It is worth noting that the 64GB variant of the POCO M3 comes with UFS 2.1 RAM, whereas the 128GB version ships with UFS 2.2, which is slightly faster. The smartphone is powered by a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports fast charging at 18W.
On the camera side of things, the POCO M3 gets a fairly lukewarm triple-camera array that consists of a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Video recording capabilities are locked at 1080p 30 FPS. Wireless connectivity options include 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The smartphone runs Android 10 customised with MIUI 12 on top. The POCO M3 was launched internationally in three colours, namely Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black.
