Motorola has launched a new mid-range smartphone, called Motorola One 5G, in the US market. The handset is the first smartphone in Motorola One family to come with 5G support. The Motorola One 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 765 SoC and features dual punch-hole cameras and a 90Hz display. Other key Motorola One 5G specifications include a 48MP quad rear camera setup and a large 5,000mAh battery.

Motorola One 5G price and availability

Motorola One 5G price is said to be under USD 500 (~Rs 36,700) in the US. The phone will be available on AT&T, while Verizon will launch a unique variant with connectivity to its 5G Ultra Wideband network in early October. The handset comes in an Oxford Blue colour option.

Motorola One 5G sports a 6.7-inch IPS screen with an FHD+ resolution and dual punch-hole cutout. The display bears a 21:9 aspect ratio, along with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. At the core of the phone lies the Snapdragon 765 SoC, which is integrated with the Snapdragon X52 modem for 5G connectivity. The phone is equipped with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard, which is further expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card. 

The Motorola One 5G features a quad-camera setup at the back, which comprises of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP 118-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps. At the front, the phone gets a 16MP (f/2.0) primary sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. 

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and the phone is said to be water repellent. The Motorola One 5G is driven by a 5,000mAh battery and is backed by 20W TurboPower fast charging. Software-wise, the handset runs Android 10 out of the box. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS, Galileo, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the phone measures 168mm x 74mm x 9mm and weighs 207 grams.
