Alleged POCO F2 Pro prices for the European market have leaked out, suggesting this will be the brand’s most premium smartphone yet. The POCO F2 Pro is widely believed to be the successor to the 2018 POCO F1. While the POCO GM has denied that it will be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, there have been several evidences that suggest otherwise. This week, a fresh report sheds some light on possible POCO F2 Pro prices in Portugal. From the looks of it, this will be the most expensive POCO smartphone yet, which is expected considering it is rumoured to launch with the Snapdragon 865 chipset and 5G support.
POCO F2 Pro prices
According to a report by 4GNews, the POCO F2 Pro price in Portugal is expected to start at EUR 649 (approx Rs 53,500) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The 8GB + 256GB model is said to cost EUR 749 (approx Rs 62,000). These prices sound steep for a POCO-branded smartphone, but you should note that the Portugal government has a “private copy tax” that results in smartphones there cost higher than the rest of Europe. It is also worth noting that European prices are typically higher than Indian prices, so we expect the POCO F2 Pro to launch in India with more aggressive prices to take on the likes of the Realme X50 Pro.
POCO F2 Pro specifications
Assuming the POCO F2 Pro is a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro, we expect the design and specifications to be similar between the two devices. The smartphone may sport a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. The Redmi K30 Pro offers a 60Hz refresh rate, which could be the same for the POCO F2 Pro, or the brand may bump it up to 90Hz/120Hz to keep up with expectations.
The POCO F2 Pro is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G support. This will be paired with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone could come with a 64MP quad camera setup that includes a Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 5MP telephoto lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. MIUI 12 is expected out of the box and the phone should house a 4,700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. There is no word yet on the POCO F2 Pro launch date and availability. We also have no information on whether the company plans to launch a non-Pro POCO F2 model.
