Moto Razr sales postponed to 15th April due to Coronavirus lockdown

“Motorola says that the delay in the sale has been attributed to the nation-wide Coronavirus lockdown”

The new foldable phone from Motorola, called the Moto Razr (first impressions), has already been in the global markets for some time. In India, the phone had been announced on 16 March and the sale of the device had been scheduled for April 2nd with pre-orders beginning on the launch day itself. However, amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, which is increasingly affecting every part of the tech sector, the sale of the Moto Razr has been delayed.

As per the company statement, the delay in the sale has been attributed to the nation-wide lockdown that has been imposed due to the quarantine measures for curbing the spread of Coronavirus. The new date for the sale has been moved to 15th April, which is incidentally the first day after the 21-day lockdown period.

Moto Razr 2019 specifications

The Moto Razr 2019 specifications include a 6.2-inch Flex View pOLED display that bears HD (876 x 2,142 pixels) resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio, and a wide notch. The phone’s secondary 2.7-inch Quick View display on the cover has a 600 × 800 pixels resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. It can also act as a scroll pad for the larger display and viewfinder for taking selfies using the primary 16MP camera with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, Dual Pixel and laser autofocus, and dual-LED flash. The front camera of the phone gets a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and Screen Flash for selfies and video calling.

The Moto Razr 2019 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC rather than a flagship processor. This is paired with 6GB RAM + 128GB non-expandable storage onboard. The handset boots Android 9 Pie out of the box, which has been tweaked a little to suit the foldable nature of the smartphone, including app continuity. The handset houses a mediocre 2,510mAh battery with 15W TurboPower charging support and sports eSIM, USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and more as connectivity options. Other highlights include a fingerprint scanner, splash-proof nano-coating, and Razr earbuds, which are USB-C headsets tuned by Denon Audio with advanced DSP.
